The end of WW2 and a Navy doctor is going home.

The doctor is heading home after 6 years in the navy. What is home going to be like and how will the locals react to him after such a long time away? The story is full of people we have met and know in our own lives, some good, some not so good.

In keeping with the other Irish country books this book was very good and I am anticipating the latest book.

The story was very good and helped clarify the beginning of the Irish country doctor series.Patrick Taylor does an excellent job of describing the characters and the country side.

An Irish Country Treat!!

Another home run hit for Patrick Taylor! Much too short, but encapsulated his return from active duty in WWII. His old friend Kinky was waiting for him and helped him get re-established in the tight community of Balleybucklebo. Love Patrick's books. They are such fun to read with the Irish slang and homespun stories.
